Events & Activities
The Chado Urasenke Tankokai Urbana-Champaign Association and the Japan House host many events throughout the year for students and the general public. Every third Saturday of the month, the tea study group holds public tea ceremonies in the afternoon at 2:00pm and 3:00pm. Additionally, the tea study group assists with tea ceremonies for visitors to the Japan House Thursday afternoons as well as during their bi-annual Open House in the Fall and Spring.
Internally, the tea study group also holds pertinent seminars and ceremonies at various times throughout the year for their members in addition to the regular classes. These activities range from invited senior instructors from outside the Urbana-Champaign Association to Tatezome at the turn of the New Year.
